What? Life isn't supposed to suck. Get out of here. Life is supposed to be good for me? I don't think so. Truth? Did you know that you have the power to create your own reality? True? Did you know that you can live the life that you've always desired? Holy? That's right. And that's why we're here. Are you ready? Unless you're on Joy overload, you've come to the right place, it's time to get out of your own way and start creating more of what you want, and less of what you don't end up with the excuses. I'm your host, Jani Roberts, let's do this.

Jani Roberts:

What's up everybody. So good to be here and have the opportunity to connect with you today. And that is exactly what we're going to do. And what we're going to discuss is connection. What is it all about, I think we are hearing more and more about this feeling of disconnect, feeling that we are all separated, feeling isolated. And we all need to remain connected and be connected as human beings. And we also need to be connected to self, this is going to be a really fun topic. And I'm, I'm obviously excited to jump into this, the work that we do in alignment Essentials is founded, really and grounded in this, our spiritual connection to ourselves, and embracing the fact that this does exist, and that we can nurture it. And that we can understand it, that it's a relationship that we can work, always with and on. And it's a choice. Now, being personally, being spiritually connected to me, is not just, you know, a light switch that you flip on and off, like, I just want to, I just want to tune into myself one day, this is a process. And the process is good thing, this is a very good thing. Because we're all changing, we're growing, we're experiencing a lot of contrast or challenges in our lives. And sometimes these challenges can lead us to disconnection. So understanding and reaching and embracing this spiritual connection, this journey, that again, as you know, we never get it done, it never really ends, will without question, bring us closer to source and closer to that feeling of spirituality, which can mean a lot of different things to a lot of people. But in our space, we're really referring to self. And what it means to work on this connection, so that we can move to self love, which then enables us to be more lovable, to spread more love to be of love, always, or at least mostly coming from a place of love, instead of fear. And again, it really is grounded in this personal connection. So there's some questions that we've got to ask ourselves in order to really tap into who we are. So it's important to ask these types of questions. And this is what we work through in our course and why journaling becomes so powerful. And I know I've touched on this before, but I do want to mention that journaling does not have to be a chore.

Jani Roberts:

It you don't necessarily have to write pages and pages and pages, although if that works for you go for it. And it's a very personal journey. So we want to acknowledge, you know, whatever your way is, you can't get it wrong. But we need to be active, but we need to be asking ourselves these questions, obviously, right, we need to know who are we, this connects to our last call, where we discussed purpose, and what it really means to be on purpose. When we move about, we are constantly putting out some type of energy. So understanding where we want to be in our own energy is going to have a huge effect on what we experienced throughout the day, what kind of energy we're receiving and what kind of energy we're putting out there. So if you've got a pen and paper here, ask yourself some of these questions you can reflect on Then later, who am I? Why am I here? What what is important to me? What makes me feel full? We use that word fulfilled. But really what fills me up is what we're asking. What allows me to feel whole, complete, and what is mattering to me in my life, what's meaningful to me in my life. So this can be tricky. I mean, it's so much easier if someone asks you, you know, about another person, but, and who they are sometimes so easy to go, they're amazing, they're so gifted, they do this, they do that. But we don't necessarily do it for ourselves. So who are you by evidence by definition, and these can be broad answers. I'm a human being, I'm a spiritual being. Currently in a human experience, I am a spiritual being. I am love, I am light, I am healer, I am whole I am trying. I am better I am healing. I am truth. This is fun, but we want to play with this. So, this is taking us away from those typical labels like I am a teacher or I am a mother or I am a daughter or I am a child or I am you get the you get the drift. So, we're moving a bit away from the typical kind of labels like who am I am a fat person who am I am a thin person who am I am a singer, you know this type of thing. We're going deeper here. Who are you? Who are you I am a person who loves to laugh, I am a person who loves to party, I am a person who loves to be outdoors. I am I am an animal lover. I you know the it goes on and on. But we got to figure it out. Because this is directly connected with our y. And our Y is directly connected to our drive our intention. What makes your soul sing, write it down what's valuable to you. And that definitely moves around. At a certain age, I would have probably said money to some degree. Joy has always been important. But I would have kind of confused values of it. And don't get me wrong. We've talked about this before I love money. But currently I would say what's really valuable to my soul is peace of mind, a quiet mind. That's huge. I am so

Jani Roberts:

over the struggle, the talk, the chatter, the anguish, the stress, the anxiety, the frustration, I'm so done with that. And I'm sure you can resonate on some level, I really work to release that because I am very clear that it does not serve me it just fatigues me and it robs me of my joy. And I'm giving my power away when I'm in those places. Be easy about it right? There are going to be those days. So be self forgiving. But I'm very much paying attention. And I know you're listening to this podcast because you're drawn to this work. So we never want to stop asking these types of questions. Because opening ourselves up spiritually is again, something we're never going to get done. So embrace it, right. We can use our senses to tap into who we are. What do we pay attention to, from the perspective of what are we constantly seeing with our human eyes? With our heart we want to be in touch with our bodies. So what are we seeing about our body? It's it's very precious to us our mind. What are we feeling on a regular basis? What are some of those feelings that we tend to live in? Because the goal here is the desire the intention is to not live on autopilot, but to really be present. What are things that you hear on a regular basis? How do they Make you feel are they stimulated by what you see? One of one of the most joyful things to do in my opinion, is to use the sense of smell and taste because it is so magical. You know, during different times of the year you smell the, the lilac bushes as they're blooming, you smell the coffee as it's brewing or the tea, you smell the fall in the air. I mean, this can shift us dramatically. And taste what is it that you savor? And this is why it's so important to eat our food slowly so that we can really bask in the magic of food. And it is magical. I know, you know. So if we think about this periodically, what am I seeing on a regular basis? what's showing up for me? How am I feeling most of the time? What are the things that come in? What am I listening to? What am I paying attention to with my hearing senses? What smells are dancing around me? And what how do they make me feel? And am I taking the time to taste what I'm putting in my mouth, whether it's clean water, or magical food or a piece of hay that I grab as I'm walking through the hay field and just kind of chew on it? What does that do, what memories what feelings, it's all combined this stimuli, it's really powerful. And this, again, connects us to our body. This this amazing gift that we have, that perhaps we don't connect with. On a regular basis, perhaps we spend more time pushing against our body, not loving it, than we do embracing it and appreciating our eyes, our ears, our sense of touch, smell taste. Pretty amazing. Pretty amazing. Now, they also believe that finding some type of practice, whether it's what we offer through alignment essentials, or perhaps you found something, through yoga, whatever it is, it doesn't matter. But something that when you step into the space, you feel that you are being guided in a powerful way. And therefore you feel safe to connect with the teacher that is present. As an intuitive person,

Jani Roberts:

I've spent many, many years guiding people. But I think it's important to know that you're really doing the majority of the work. I'm like the hollow bone. I'm holding space for you, as you're working your practice. This is my work. This is the gift and the work, the gift that I've received in the work that I have chosen for myself, and it is never going to be done. I am constantly working with other intuitive people, teachers, to learn from them as well so that I can continue to be of service. It is a place that this provides you with a space and a place where you can sort through these types of questions and relief, you know, find relief from doubt from stress from worry. It's where you can relax and know that you are on your journey as you should be that you're on that path that is the right path for you. You can as you bob and weave that this journey that you're on this, this guidance will help you and as you do the work you are I know you are attracting more people into your experience of like mind and therefore connecting in ways that perhaps you never had before or never even thought were possible. Relationships as we all know can be challenging. We can get lost in our thoughts. This is part of what I was referring to earlier when I was talking about anxiety and stress and worry, you know all of those thoughts and you can feel yourself being kind of pulled apart and guidance brings you back. Why am I going there? Why am I choosing this, I can choose something else I can decide I can take my time I can listen, I can learn, I can find compassion, I can tap into the knowledge of others. This work has been done for hundreds of 1000s of years. So there are many teachers, many paths, many places to source and learn. The action is the key. This is what maintains our connectedness to ourselves to our souls and to one another. Now connecting, particularly spiritually means living in your now we talk about this a lot being truly present, tuning in, moving away from autopilot. Again, this isn't something that we can just flip on and flip off. We can't shelve it. It's something that we need to learn and relearn, and train and retrain within ourselves. We notice our thoughts, those thoughts that create our beliefs that create our patterns of behavior, we always come back to this circle, don't we, and this then results in your life experience, this is the reality that you are creating. So when we're disconnected from self from source, from Soul, there will be struggle. And I'm sure you've been there. At some point. Me 1000s of times, probably hundreds of 1000s It's I've been paying attention for a long time. So connect with yourself, take the time. Early on in our podcasts. And in I think the first or second episode, we talked about

Jani Roberts:

how important it is to have that quiet time in the morning. And it doesn't need to be you know, a big production, whether it's just I'm gonna get up a little early so I can sit and have my tea and pet the cat or, you know, scratch my dog or whatever it is I want to have that. That ritual time, that time to be quiet that time to connect to me before I go out there and give give give give given tic tic tic tic tic happens. I want to settle in, I want to acknowledge who I am my intention and smile and know that things are working out for me. I'm checking in on a very, very regular basis, I am checking in and I value my time. This allows me to release my ego. You know the ego is tricky, right? It tends to lead from a place of fear. Our soul leads from love. Our our soul, our spiritual self, that soul spark. That's what connects us to the rest of the universe. When we disconnect. It's very hard for source to come in. We basically said no, thank you. No, thank you, I'm not worthy. I can I won't I don't like whatever it is whatever that stuff is. And we are drawn to this work because we know when we begin to do it, we can feel ourselves reconnecting and where we're connected. We feel whole more now we feel empty. So the ego doesn't necessarily care about this spiritual bond. It just wants to take care of what needs what it what it feels needs to be taken care of. So we've got to we've got to release that we've got to acknowledge it. Know that has purpose and and can be helpful, but it doesn't run the show. So we want to break that cycle, all that fear, all of those labels, all that stuff that we that we can feel come in when we defend ourselves. So against the forces, the dark forces there in the world that we run into on a regular basis, at least it feels that way. When we stay more connected, we experience a lot less of that. Because we are in our power. So take a look at your phone right now. Go into your camera. Flip it. So you're looking at yourself. acknowledge yourself for your magnificence. Your imperfections, scars, wrinkles. It's time to learn to love every part of who we are. It's time It's time to dump the line games. You know, you know what I'm talking about. Time to let that shit go. And begin every day. With that powerful intention that we've spoken about on so many occasions, connect. deepen that connection that you have with yourself and discover who you are evolving to be who you are as who you are, perhaps in this moment, but you are always becoming always and acknowledge that others are doing the same. Feed your mind with words that serve you with thoughts that serve you. And don't ever give up those those quiet moments. That quiet meditation time in the morning. It's a very 15 minutes. Even within our course this is all that we asked for. People expand them more but it's really not necessary. They just they just it's joyful. So they expand on it. But the 15 minutes a day to nourish your connection to yourself. Game Changer. absolute game changer. And don't forget to play. Be playful about all of this. Nothing is more important than that you feel good. We are connected. If you've never done self connection, soul connection work. Perfect. Do it now. Launch it now. New journey, new part of the journey exciting times. If you've done it and then gotten away from it,

Jani Roberts:

reignite it fired up again. It's time it's your time to connect and we want to connect with you. No one brings the energy that you bring to this planet. No one. Your connection is unique and it is essential to all joy state connected. Always we are always connected. I got nothing but love as always guys. Until next time, peace
